Mindfulness, Meditation and the Inner Limbs of Yoga

A Weekend Immersion for Yoga Teachers & Students (join us for one or both days)

Meditation is often described as “sitting still” or “quieting the mind,” but within the tradition of yoga, meditation is part of a much deeper path of self-study, inner steadiness, and awakening.

This weekend immersion is designed for yoga teachers, teachers-in-training, and dedicated students who want to better understand meditation both as a personal practice and as something they may skillfully share with others.

Over two days, we’ll explore meditation through both contemporary and yogic lenses, combining teaching, discussion, guided practice, and experiential learning.

Day One: Meditation & Mindfulness with Paul

On the first day, Paul will offer an overview of meditation and mindfulness, helping students understand foundational concepts, benefits, and approaches to practice.

This day will create a grounded foundation for understanding meditation as a practice of awareness, attention, and presence.

Day Two: The Inner Limbs — Meditation Through the Lens of Yoga with Colleen

On the second day, Colleen will guide students into the yogic understanding of meditation, using the 8 limbs of Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras as a framework, with special attention to the final four limbs.

You’ll learn:

  • How meditation fits within the larger path of yoga

  • The difference between mindfulness, concentration, and meditation

  • How to use the final four limbs of the Yoga Sutras as a teaching and practice framework

  • How movement, body, breath, mantra, and awareness can support meditation

  • How to create short, accessible meditation practices for yourself and to share with others

Who this is for:

This weekend is ideal for:

  • Yoga teachers

  • Yoga teachers-in-training

  • Students of yoga

  • Wellness practitioners

  • Anyone interested in deepening their understanding of meditation through the lens of yoga

No advanced meditation experience is required. Come with curiosity, openness, and a willingness to explore.
