THE SOMATIC BODY: Returning to the body as home
With Paul David Shea, ERYT, Somatic Therapist
Saturday July 25th and Sunday July 26th 10:30am - 5pm, each day
What does it mean to live in this body — not just to think about it, but to feel it, move it, listen to it?
This weekend is an invitation into somatics: the practice of embodiment.
Across two days, we'll explore movement, mindfulness, breath, and meditation as doorways into the same room - the felt sense of being alive in a body.
Somatic work is, in part, a deep way of resetting the nervous system, and teaching the body it is
safe to soften, safe to feel, safe to come back to itself.
We'll work with movement, breath, and mind as pathways to deepen awareness on both a physical and psycho cellular level.
This work is deeply trauma-informed: nothing here requires you to push past your edges.
You're invited to move at the pace your body asks, and everything is an invitation.
Open to all levels. Participants, please bring a journal and something to write with, as part of the unraveling is in the writing.
