Class descriptions

Slow Vinyasa Flow-

In vinyasa yoga, poses are linked one to the next in a flowing and purposeful way. In this class we slow down and take our time, mindfully moving from one asana to the next. this gives students a chance to linger a little longer in each pose, breathe a little deeper and explore the practice. We love moving slow, and we think you will too!

Mindful yoga -

self awareness is a necessity for living a healthy life. This slow, mindful practice will lead students to new understanding of body, mind and spirit.

Tao Yin Yoga (daoyin)

This class focuses on the cultivation, direction and movement of your innate life force energy called (Chi/Qi). Through various Yin postures (Asanas), Gentle movement, breath work, mind focus and visualization, this practice will help to unblock, strengthen, revitalize and heal the body, mind and spirit. This class is based on the foundational principles of 5 elements yoga and Qigong as taught in Traditional Chinese Medicine. We will also look at how yoga asana (postures) and pranayama (breath work) can support the practice of Qigong and Taoist Yoga (Tao Yin Yoga).

QIGONG-

In this class, Qigong (Energy Cultivation) and meditation are woven together to create a practice that quiets the mind, strengthens the body and gives vital life force energy (Qi) the ability to flow freely. When Qi (Chi) moves freely throughout the body, healing on all levels occurs.

Hatha/vinyasa -

Experience full spectrum yoga. Asana (poses), pranayama (breath work) and meditation are mindfully incorporated into this class, allowing students to experience the benefits of yoga - body, mind and spirit. Expect intelligent sequences of both static and dynamic postures, a chance to reflect and absorb the wisdom is yoga, and deeply relaxing shivasana.

Yoga for Strength and Balance

Strengthen and balance body, mind and spirit, starting from exactly where you're at. Yoga teaches us that to grow, we must be willing to lean into what challenges us. In this class, you are invited to do just that in a safe, non judgmental and supportive environment. Plenty of modifications will be given to make this class accessible to all levels.

Gentle Yoga

True Yoga

“True yoga is not about the shape of your body, but the shape of your life. Yoga is not to be performed; yoga is to be lived. Yoga doesn’t care about what you have been; yoga cares about the person you are becoming. Yoga is designed for a vast and profound purpose, and for it to be truly called yoga, its essence must be embodied.” — Aadil Palkhivala, Fire of Love
