Yoga and Mobility for Lower Back Health

Lower back discomfort or pain is ever-present in our society. Yoga and other mobility movements can be used to begin to address the problem. While back pain causation is typically wholistic, meaning there are not only physical but also mental and spiritual components as well, this workshop will focus on the physical work towards relieving this kind of pain or discomfort. It will also touch on mental, emotional, and spiritual causation as well.

What you’ll learn:

•The holistic view of lower back pain for us humans
•Exercises and poses/stretches used to help reduce pain
•Exercises and poses/stretches aimed at improving lower back health and strength

This workshop uses gentle to moderate movement so is appropriate for all levels of experience. It will conclude with a guided meditation for relaxation and the release of back tension.


Tim has worked in the health and wellness space for over 12 years now as a yoga teacher and fitness coach. He is a registered, experienced yoga teacher, a certified health coach, and a certified personal trainer. He has also been managing his own back pain for 30 years now.

**This workshop is intended for those with a history of mild to moderate back discomfort, as well as for those interested in maintaining back health. If you are experiencing acute pain, please consult your physician.
