Winter Solstice - Slow Flow and Healing Sound

  • Breathing Lotus LIving Arts 7 Green Street Kingston, MA, 02364 United States (map)

It’s common knowledge that the winter solstice marks the first day of the winter season. It is the day of the year with the least amount of sunlight. Each day after thereafter grows longer until sunlight peaks during the summer solstice the following June. The Winter Solstice is celebrated as sacred in many traditions. It is a day of hope and joy celebrating “the birth the sun” and it’s celestial promise for brighter days ahead.

Join Colleen Duggan, ERYT 500 and Tim Griffin, ERYT, MA for a practice which honors Solstice and the ancient Celtic celebration of Yule (a predecessor to Christmas) This slow, all levels flow will be supported by the healing rhythms and sound of live handpan, frame drum and kartal.
